StumbleUpon - Saving Me from Boredom

I love StumbleUpon. Its the only thing that saves me when I am bored out of my mind when I am surfing the web. Sure, I have alot of websites that I like to visit. A majority of it is porn, but there is only so much porn you can watch in one night before I get tired of it.
StumbleUpon is a saviour. I just hit the stumble button and I am away. Im off finding interesting sites, downloads and more. In fact, sometimes when I find something interesting on StumbleUpon, I usually add it to Dude World Order so I can share it with all of you.

Of course, if you are not a member of StumbleUpon, I dont think you know what you are missing. Get it, install it and fight boredom, 1 stumble at a time.

Interactive Radio from Musicovery

I love Musicovery. It is simple and it is awesome. And it will drain your bandwidth like no other.
When you first visit Musicovery, you are welcomed with a panel. Just select your range of options. Starting at the top you choose if you are looking for classic music that you have probably heard before or you can discover new music which you probably have never heard.
Next, choose the time frame in years for the age of the music. Choose your mood, Dark, Energetic, Positive or calm.
Then its just a matter of choosing you favorite genre or genre’s. Musicovery will do the rest.
Musicovery will load a heap of songs for you and a path to each song. When your song is playing you can approve or hate it. This will help Musicovery choose the right music for you.
I guess you can think of Musicovery as a bit like Pandora, but available globally.

Do You Love Poker?

My sister emailed me today and asked me to write about a particular poker website that she frequents. Now, I am a fan of poker and I do like to play it. However, my sister always manages to clean up whenever we play. It sucks. Its hard for me to say this, but she is better at poker than me! WOW. I actually said it.

Anyway, she pointed me towards a site called SharkScope. This site will give you a breakdown on all the players that play on all of the big poker site. SharkScope will drag data from poker sites like Party Poker, PokerStars, Full Tilt and all the rest. It also includes all the professional player results!

I think my sister wanted to show me how good she is and hence her request for me to write about SharkScope. Have a look at her results below and tell me what you think. I have blocked out her username, but if she wants to announce it to the world, I will let her do it in a comment below.

MC Hammers Dance Jam

Do you remember MC Hammer?
Alot of you younger ones may have never heard of him. MC Hammer was cool. He could dance like no other. “Hammer” even challenged Michael Jackson to a dance off and Michael said “NO!”.
Why would Michael Jackson say no? Maybe he was threatened by MC Hammer. Big pants and vests without anything on underneath. The throwing around of cash that eventually saw him go broke? Maybe Michael should have challenged Hammer.
Now, MC Hammer is back. No, he isn’t back rapping and dancing on our TV screens, he is back with a website. Yep, MC Hammer is now an internet guru. Dance Jam is like YouTube, but is full of dance videos. A bit like “So, you think you can dance”, but online. And I have to say, there is alot of talent out there. Some of these people know how to move!
But, DanceJam isnt just about dancing videos, you can use the site to learn some new moves choosing from the huge amount of tutorials that are available. You can even vote between 2 dancers in a battle. Overall, the site is pretty impressive. It is very clean and easy to navigate. I don’t think Hammer would have coded it himself, but who knows? Check it out!

Make a Manga Avatar

How cool is my new avatar? Pretty sweet if you ask me. Do you want one?

Face Your Manga is a cool new website where you can create your own manga style avatar! You can make a dude or a dudette and completely choose the style of the look including hair, eyes, nose, gestures (mine is giving the bird, HILARIOUS!) and change the background. I choose a very humble background for this one, but there is about 50 other backgrounds that you can try. Best of all, the service is completely FREE!!

Now, Im not very creative. In fact, I suck a creativity. Look at the boring design of Dude World Order for fucks sake. Im useless.

12 Cool Flickr Sites

Flickrvision
Using Google Maps, Flickrvision shows real time flickr uploads from across the world. Flickrvision will show you the picture and where it was uploaded from.

Flickr Tag Browser
This one is cool too. Enter a search term and Flickr Tag Browser will search Flickr’s tags and bring you the photos. Not only that, it will find you related tags, which you can click on to bring up more phots. Very cool.

Flickrtime
Flickrtime will display the time for you using Flickr images. It will gather a bunch of images from tags that you provide. If you don’t know what tags you want to use, Flickrtime will chose some for you.

ColrPickr
This site will find flickr pictures by the color you choose. Simply click on a color from the chart and ColrPickr will do the rest.

Memry
Just like the old memory game where you have to find the matching pictures. Memry works in the same way. Just choose a tag and memry will put together a game for you using those tags!

Spell With Flickr This one is a lot of fun. Just type some text into the text box and it will spell the word or words using Flickr images.

Internet Inferno
Using Flickr-photos, Internet Inferno grabs pictures using keywords which are matching Wikipedia’s description of Dante’s Inferno. The photos are randomly picked (only the keywords are fixed) you will see different photos every visit. Some images could be offensive, disturbing or just plain stupid. Random photos are used each time, so every time you go back to the site, you will have a new experience!

Flickr Time Capsule
Another great idea. Sign up to Flickr Time Capsule and every day you will be emailed the pictures you added 1 year ago. Ahhh…keeping the memories alive.

inSuggest
Starting with a keyword, inSugesst will display a group of pictures. Select one of the pics and inSuggest will explore other images that you might like. Select another picture and inSuggest will take your query further to produce my pictures. I liked this one!

Clockr
Kinda like Flickrtime, Clockr will display the current time using pictures of numbers. Rather than making the numbers out of a selection of pictures.

This last one doesnt really have anything to do with Flickr photos themself, it just makes a logo for you that kinda looks like the Flickr Logo.
