However, being outside of the US really has its downfalls. Many websites block me from viewing the videos because I’m not a US resident. It sucks. Its total BS if you ask me. Sites like Hulu, Adult Swim and MTV Music Videos will let me load up the site and view all of the content, but as soon as I want to watch a video I’m advised that the video is only available for US residents.
But, thanks to Hotspot Shield I can avoid this. Hotspot Shield is a light weight application that will run through your browser. Basically, it allocates you an IP address from the US, therefore avoiding country restrictions. It’s brilliant. When you come across a site that has country blocking, just open up Hotspot Shield, give it a moment to allocate you a new IP and you are set! And, Hotspot Shield is completely free!
